Short description of the Foundation of Venlose Bowling Verein [V.B.V]

The Venlo Bowling Club Officially Founded in the Year 1967. Under the Name of Bowling Club Venlo [B.C.V].

The club received the title "Royal" in 1977, to be able to Play in the National League in Holland, the Club was registered under the Wings of Eindhoven Bowling Club [E.B.C]. and Played under the Rules and Regulations of the National Leauge.

The aim of the B.C.V. [about 30 members] where to compete in the Venlo Bowling Bond [V.B.B.]  they had to Play the Games at  Mgr. Nolenplatz in Venlo on just four lanes . All other games of the National League had to be played elsewhere. At the end of the seventies, Venlo Bowling Bond [V.B.B.] got its own bowling house [Taurus] in the Town of Velden in the area of Venlo.

Over the Years Spent at the Taurus Location, and in the middle of the 80`s there were to be a lot of Discussion’s between the members, so that there had become a Slit between the some of the Members, this unfortunately leading to that Part of the members left and went to another Bowling Club named Horst.

After the Closure of the bowling Club [Horst in 1987 most of the ex-members came back to, Taurus in Velden. The Name of our Club was then changed, and in accordance with the Dutch Association [N.B.F] our Club was then Renamed to ( Venlose Bowling Verein. [V.B.V.]

Because of all kinds of different problems at the Our Club Location by Taurus in Velden, it was decided to look for a New Location for our Club. Because Velden/Venlo is located very near to the Dutch/ Germen Border, it was decided to Look at the Possibility Relocating our Club in Germany.

In 19.. a New Location was found (Cosmic Bowling in Grefrath). and since then and upto the Present day, it has been the  Home to Venlose Bowling Verein ( VBV ).
